Google Expands AI-Powered Search Tool Globally, Introduces New Agentic Capabilities

Google (GOOGL) has launched its AI Mode search tool in over 180 countries and territories, initially in English with additional languages forthcoming. The feature enables users to pose complex queries and receive conversational responses, now enhanced with a sharing function for collaborative planning.

The company is also introducing agentic capabilities, allowing AI Mode to assist with tasks such as restaurant bookings by aggregating real-time options from platforms like OpenTable and Resy. These tools, currently in experimental phase, are exclusive to U.S.-based Google AI Ultra subscribers.

Future updates promise expanded functionality, including event ticket purchases and local service bookings, as Google continues to refine personalized AI interactions for global users.
